The first weekend of March was filled with raindrops and grey skies. Los Angeles was not the sunny glowing city we were used to. Saturday afternoon brought strong rain pour and a quest for a place to find the perfect cozy bite.
Alexis and I decided to venture to Le Pain on Melrose. We knew that nothing would warm us up well than two Spiced Organic Hot Chocolates. Another Le Pain specialty caught our eyes as we glanced through the menu: the famous Bread Basket. Nothing could be more complimentary to spiced hot chocolate than a fresh warm breadbasket.
The rain continued to pour as Alexis and I warmed up to our beverages. The Spiced Hot Chocolate tangos with ones taste buds. The initial sip brings on a quick punch of cayenne pepper that lies under the blanket of chocolate. The cream in the heated brew softens the spicy blow, which makes it an enjoyable way to wake up our cold bodies. The assorted bread and jams in the breadbasket were a compatible with our hot chocolate delight.
Le Pain was an awesome way to spice up the rainy day blues and dabble in some fresh baked goods!
